advice on a trade....

please give me your opinions if i should trade vlad for ichiro..
here are my lineups now...........playing in minutemaid.
vs LH...
1. Freel, Ryan (R) DH
2. Bocachica, Hiram (R) LF
3. Pujols, Albert (R) 1B
4. Guerrero, Vladimir (R) RF
5. Rolen, Scott (R) 3B
6. Jones, Andruw (R) CF
7. Bennett, Gary (R) C
8. Roberts, Brian (S) 2B
9. Vizquel, Omar (S) SS
vs RH
1. Freel, Ryan (R) LF
2. Durazo, Erubiel (L) DH
3. Pujols, Albert (R) 1B
4. Guerrero, Vladimir (R) RF
5. Rolen, Scott (R) 3B
6. Vizquel, Omar (S) SS
7. Jones, Andruw (R) CF
8. Bennett, Gary (R) C
9. Roberts, Brian (S) 2B

I'm no expert but my gut felling is to trade for Ichiro. You already have Pujols and Rolen hitting behind him.
By the way, I would put Jones 6 vs RH and let Vizquel mix it up with Roberts at the bottom of the line up.

I see your predicament - Vlad is one of the best sluggers in the game, and you would be moving him to grab a singles hitter. One thing you might be overlooking, though, is the fact that Ichiro is a left handed bat that hits better against left handed pitching - and HAL will put lefties in to face him. With Pujols and Rolen, who both also hit lefties better, hitting behind Ichiro, HAL will have to choose whether to exhaust the bullpen and bring in a righty, or leave the poor, poor lefty in there to face your sluggers. I would move Vlad for Ichiro, but that's just me.

my concern with my team if i keep vlad is who will get on base for pujols/rolen/vlad...
but my concern if i trade him is will i have enough power?

i know ,,, vlad will put up HUGE #'s in minute maid........
this is a TOUGH decision....

I wouldn't do it. I love Vlad. Almost everything he hits advances runners 2 or more bases. Power,average speed...it's all there. I'd bat him 3rd both ways if I were you. His speed sets up Albert for about 10 more hits a year.

Never....no way, for no reason. OBP is a lot cheaper than OBP w/ natural power.
