New lineups

Frank Thomas was my DH but he keeps getting injured and since we're nearing the deadline I let him go. I went for the hitter with the highest OBP with ove 600 PAs and it was Randy Winn, so he is now my DH. These are the best lineups I could come up with...does anyone agree? If not, please share your ideas which order would be better. Thanks.

I've used Winn a number of times and he'll usually produce some good #'s, albeit usually vs. RH's though...

I've batted him in the 2 spot and the 5th or 6th spot vs. RH's. Versus LH's I usually hit him in the 9 hole because he's not as good against the southpaws.

I think your lineups need some help though...

vs. LH's I'd go:
Castillo
Izturis
Overbay
Glaus
Higginson
Jones
??? (The bottom of this lineup needs HELP. Roberts needs a platoon, Shelton is not good (IMHO) and I would grab Payton, if you could, to hit vs. LH's in this lineup).

vs. RH's:
Move Jones into the 6 hole

Ok, thanks for your help. I don't face too many lefties but I'll look for help for Roberts. I know the bottom of my lineup doesn't have the best on base, etc. but when they do get on they are fast. which is good in Petco eh?

I actually think Shelton has a good card. Defence sucks but I have a backup if necessary.

Hey I took Payton and I think the best spot in the lineup for him is either leadoff or seventh.

Shelton is not good IMHO. Bad defense, a terrible arm, a high INJ rating and not the greatest hitter esp. vs. RH's is asking for help.

Payton is a nice addition, especially in the 7 hole.

Yeah I have Payton batting seventh. I'll have to disagree on Shelton though. I think he has a pretty good card. I think the rest of my team defence is good enough to overcome Shelton's poor defence and I do have a replacement come in with the lead.

But if I see that Shelton is sucking I will drop him by the deadline for a better defensive catcher. I will be desperate for some offence though.
