just for fun, here's a coors theory: focus your pitching staff around BP singles...or rather those pitchers WITHOUT BP singles (there's about 50 or so out there). So that <SINGLE and <fb that both become 1-19 hits at Coors, are suddenly OUTS. So these pitchers (see Hasagawa against righties) are maximized at Coors (relative to most pitchers, who have the standard BP singles).
I believe this might give you a slight advantage, and since it is stricktly a ballpark advantage, I doubt if it figures overly into their salary figures. I'm testing this theory out with two teams now (only six games in), so we'll see...
I tried Drese several times, but my lord does he give up the hits...I think he gave up nearly 300 hits for me once. Wells is also a home run waiting to happen. Look for good pitchers with no-BP singles instead...
