is he overpriced at 11 Million when lesser options like Mark Ellis and Marcus Giles are in the 7 -8 million range???

also i was debating buying the ratings book, does it have the shear numbers for TB and OB for all the players???? I know the disk does but isn't the darn thing on a 3.5 disk instead of a CD???

Roberts leads the list of way overpriced players... unless playing a 100M league

Well remember on the prices, overall hitting was down in 05, so the top hitter will cost more.

But Roberts is a damn good hitter vs righties, and a 1 at 2b. A litle overpirced, maybe, but still valuable. You will have to pay for defense in 06, that is for sure.

And I was just thinking that you can get a 2 at 2B or SS cheaper this year than 2005.

On my first team I have a Rey Sanchez/Jose Castillo platoon at 2B. Both are 2's. I went with Omar Vizquel at SS. All 3 players cost 5.1m together. That left me with more money for heavy lumber or stud pitching. Anyway that is just an option.

i think if you spend that kind of $$ you need to get more than obp/speed/def...you need power also.....

i paid 6.69 mil for L castillo and i think that was too much!

Interesting thing about Roberts is I spent half the season last year trying to trade for him in a fantasy league. Then got to watch the other guy struggle when Roberts got injured. But his strato injury is a 1 and with the 600 PA he is virtually injury proof.

Part of the reason for his cost eh Valen?
