Can someone give me some feedback on the ratings for the pitchers ... such as ... a guy that is a (7) inning starter ... when will he hit his 'weak' point ... same question on relief ... and lastly, closers ... a closer is a C6 ... is that 6 outs ... 6 batters? ... Any help to better grasp the concept would be great ... Thanks

ENDURANCE RATINGS

"S6" or "starter(6)" means the pitcher can start games, and in general he can go 6 innings before being susceptible to tiredness.

"R2" or "relief(2)" means he can be used in relief, and in general he can go 6 outs (3 x 2) before being susceptible to tiredness.

"C6" or the number after the slash next to a relief rating (e.g. "relief(1)/6" means he is effective as a closer, and he can pitch for at least 6 outs before being susceptible to tiredness. It is recommended that a pitcher have a closer rating of 3 or higher (6 is highest) in order to be effective in save situations. An "N" means that in closing situations, he is susceptible to tiredness immediately.

Thanks LMB for the info ... how & when do they become tired? ... I forget ... is it a certain number of hits in one inning? ... or hits over several innings ... or automatic 'tired' effect after certain number of innings ... Thanks again

Once a pitcher reaches is POW (point of weakness), he is tred after giving up 3 (unintentional) walks/hits in 1 inning, or 4 over 2 innings.

An R1 is suscpetible to fatigue right away. An R2, after 3 outs have been recorded.

Of course when tired, all $ symbols = SINGLE**.
