Erstad 2005: no love at all?

I just picked him up in a dump of Berkman, who I couldn't take anymore. It's been awhile since I went into a dump mode, but I had to shake up my 30-33, 2006 team.
He will bat 2nd vs righties only, and be a def replacement vs lefties. My team wasn't hitting that well, but it WAS pitching in Dodger Stadium. The pen had blown something like 9 saves, so I bolstered the pen as well (12 pitchers).
If nothing else, I have a good experiment going on to answer the question:
Can a good pitching/defense team beat two Coors and a Minute Maid?
My question to you: am I insane?
