Seconds IP H R ER BB SO HR PC ERA

M.Wise 3 2 0 0 1 4 0 62 3.66
Totals 8 5 2 2 3 8 1

SweatSox IP H R ER BB SO HR PC ERA
R.Harden 4 2 0 0 3 2 0 52 2.48
E.Guardado WIN(4-0) 2 1 0 0 0 2 0 34 3.12
S.Eyre HOLD(8th) 0 2/3 1 0 0 0 0 0 13 3.50
D.Riske HOLD(3rd) 1 1/3 1 0 0 0 1 0 14 3.45
M.Rivera SAVE(15th) 1 0 0 0 0 1 0 16 2.29
Totals 9 5 0 0 3 6 0

Other than HAL being HAL.. does anyone have any idea why Harden was pulled after giving up a single to the lead off batter in the 5th inning. The only box checked on Hardens card is Slow Hook.

PS the other hit he gave up and the two walks were spread over the 4 innings and not bunched into one inning.

Relief use set to standard ( NOT agressive !)

One reason

I had Clemmens pulled after 6 innings while he was pitching a one-hitter. Clemmens gave up a single to the first batter of the 7th and was pulled. I had Clemmens set to slow hook and relief usage set to conservative. But what I think happend in my case was that I was winning 1-0. I also had closer usuage set to maximize. So a reliever was put in to get the save. This may have been what happend in your case as well. BTY, I still ended up with a 1-0 win.

I've had a lot of success in all of my leagues getting my starters to go as long as possible with all of the settings provided slow hook, conservative relief, and normal closer.

Yep. No trouble here.
