[i:3f40d3d9ff]04/17/2006 - 04/23/2006[/i:3f40d3d9ff]

There's something new every week...

[b:3f40d3d9ff]GotW #5: Chipmunks shut-out Hoosier Daddy... for (3-0) the (4-0) series (11-0)[/b:3f40d3d9ff]

This is a pretty cool story. The C'ville Chipmunks, sporting the worst record in the league at 31-50 (after a 2-16 start), swept 3 games from the Central Division-leading Hoosier Daddy [i:3f40d3d9ff]without giving up a single run[/i:3f40d3d9ff], and even [i:3f40d3d9ff][b:3f40d3d9ff]no-hit them in the first game[/b:3f40d3d9ff][/i:3f40d3d9ff] (Jake Peavy). The Chipmunks gave up only 9 hits for the series, and though they're still in last place, and the Hoosier Daddy are still in first, at least they were kings for a day. Here's your No-Prize!

Right fielder Geof Jenkins had a day hitters only dream of. He hits 4 consecutive solo home runs in the first 9 innings. Unfortunatley Geof grounds out in his only extra innings at bat; but luckily team pulls out victory in 12th for sweep of series.

4 straight Homeruns in the bottom of the first, then another 13 innings to finish the game, with...what else, a walk-off Homerun.

That noted slugger himself, Ronnie Belliard, notches 10 RBI as my Clarkston Sluggers defeat the Violetville Volks Marchers 19-4. I didn't think it was possible to get 10 RBI in a game!
