The Secret formula in Petco?

Postby ANDYCOCHRANE » Sat Apr 29, 2006 8:03 am

Last year a thread about "The Secret Formula" put forward the theory that winning teams had a rough 32/48 pitching/hitting split. That was for last years teams. Does this still hold true for 2006 or has it changed with the salary changes of this year?

What would one think is the best $$ split for pitchers and hitters, particularly in pitchers parks? Is it worth spending loads on pitchers in petco?

IMHO I think you need a strong lineup. get a mixture of high ob guys with a couple of guys in the middle of the lineup with natural hrs. you dont need top pitchers get cheaper guys who give up low hits with some bp hrs on their cards. If you go big on pitching and cant hit you will end up losing a lot of those dreadful 2-1 15 inning games.
