"Civil War" Theme League

All right why not combine a little military History with a good strato theme league......Here is the idea: Form two leagues, a Confederate league and a Union league. Must enter the league that fits where you live; ie, I am in SC so I succeeded from the Union first and I would be in the Confederate league...Draw an imaginary line east to west across the US and if you are above the line, you would enter the Union league. At the completion of the two leagues the 6 best records in each league would form a new league entitled "Civil War". So you would have the 6 best from each league fighting it out for the ultimate champion and winner of the war..........I will take charge of the Confederate league and whoever wants can set up and run the Union league.....06' Players--lotto for draft order and then complete a TWO round draft with all players available...The Championship or the "Civil war" league will be a Four round draft....Must name your team after your state and a real General as your manager: For Instance I will be the; " 3d South Carolina Infantry" commanded by Jubal Early...If your a Yankee don't use our Generals--I know it will be tempting...If anyone needs a list I'll provide...The two qualifiing leagues (Confederate and Union) will be std 80 Mil DH and the "Civil War" league will be 100 mil DH...Waivers and trading allowed in the first leagues but in the "Civil War" Championship you don't want to go swapping with the enemy so you can only trade with your counterparts from you side, so you'd be able to trade with the other 5 that came with you to the championship league....Oh I wish I was in the land of cotton old times there are not forgotten--look away, look away dixieland!!!!

We all know Idaho was a big part of the Civil War. It was the birthplace of General E. Lee. Boise was where the slaves ended up at the end of the underground railroad. Since Idaho was a slave state, this was an unfortunate situation for the slaves. The slaves ended up toiling in the Potato Fields of Southern Idaho. This is why there are so many blacks in Idaho today. Had the South seceded from the union and became a new territory, Pocatello, Idaho and Atlanta were the main two candidates for the new nation's capital. It would have been a tossup. With these types of historical facts, how can I not join this league?

Hey Kev, I'm not the best at Geography but wouldn't Idaho be north of the imaginary line across the country?

Sorry kev---You're one of those damn Yankees---Can't get much further North than Idaho, although us southern boys would love to have had you. After all thats what the Civil war was all about---brother against brother --friend vs friend.. In fact I hope you will take charge of the Union and get it up and running..I won't be in your league so I'll filter trivia to you throughout the league..

trivia:

Ft Sumter in Charleston, SC is where it began----Who was the Union Commander in charge of Ft. Sumter??
