There weren't that many submissions last week, but the final choice between 2 of them was the hardest yet. While the 23-inning marathon won by a 9-spot in the 23rd after 22 scoreless innings was astronomical, and good enough for our first Honorable Mention, I finally decided to go with the following game, purely for the wacky way it ended:

All you really need to know about this game is how the game ended in the bottom of the 12th. Who says speed is overrated?
[b:9d577a16e3]Nominate your SOM 2006 boxscore for Game of the Week #8![/b:9d577a16e3]
Post the URL of the game here; if there's some context that goes with the game, be sure to write that up too. We're considering games for the whole week, Monday through Sunday. And, at the end of the year, we'll pick one game from the list of GotW's whose winning team [b:9d577a16e3]will win a free 1-year subscription to The Sporting News weekly magazine![/b:9d577a16e3]
