and sometimes find these posts to be unneccessary b/c making the lineup never seemed to be such a problem. But truly would welcome suggestions.

in preseason now, and really don't have any OBP to hitting in front of the Kahuna's Lee and ARod (that i both got post waivers). thinking that might be a problem

was thinking:

V. LHP
Beltran CF
AROD SS
Lee 1B
THOMAS DH
BLAKE RF
PHILLIPS C
BELTRE 3B
CANTU 2B
CRAWFORD LF
P

v. RHP
CRAWFORD LF
AROD SS
LEE 1B
PIEDRA RF
CANTU
THOMAS DH
BELTRAN CF
BELTRE 3B
STINNET C
P

One option I was considering was to drop Cantu and fill with Garabito, who would hit 2nd v both. But Cantu destroyed in the last season I had with him: .307-22-105 .333obp .493slg in Mcafee.

thanks for the help.

It seems you've dropped Beltre and picked up Lugo, unless you've linked to the wrong team (link is to the Vagaries, not Kahunas). If this is correct team, bat Crawford/Lugo 1-2 vs. RHP, Lugo/ARod vs. LHP. A-Rod loses some power vs. LHP, so putting him into more of a set-up position doesn't hurt.

It's tough when you spend almost $27M on 2 guys. It can very hard to surround them w/ guys who can help in the situation.

I have batted Cantu 2nd on my season winning team. Almost 360 OBP.

But used him at third... not 2nd base.

DAMN, cat's out of the bag on Can-do Cantu. He's on all my Minute Maid teams. Full time DH, backs up 2nd and 3rd, good for 30 HR, 40 2B, 100 RBI. For less than 3 bucks. Funny, he's always available post-draft and Soriano's always taken.

I bat him 5th-7th. That .360 OBP must have been an anomaly. He draws almost no walks but nice clutch.

Don't listen to me. He sucks. Take Soriano!

I used to think the same thing, but this team proved me wrong.
