Thoughts on This Team?

Postby Chokin' O » Thu May 25, 2006 2:16 pm

This is my first US Cellular team, pre-waivers. I got almost all of the hitting I wanted, but very little of the pitching (esp. Heilman  ). Other parks in my division are Yankee Stadium, Turner Field, and Rogers Centre.

Some questions...

What two starters should I pick up for Towers and Lieber?

How should I structure my bullpen?

Who should I grab for left field?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Grab Tracy for LF even though he is a 4 in LF

Actually, now that I look at his card, keeping Juan Rivera might actually be a good option. I do see a problem with my lineup, though - almost all of my hitters are slanted towards the right side, and there are 6 LH SP* in my division.

try to trade glaus for a. ramirez or pick him up if he's out there, or easley, that will help your imbalance against lhp. probably could use another lhp eater for rivera too. otherwise shelton or the catching position give you options for keeping lh pitching honest.

Glaus for A-Ram was declined.

How about Curtis Granderson, Kevin Mench, or So Taguchi in left? I would go for Taguchi in a hearbeat if not for his lack of ballpark homers.

All right, I think I did pretty well in waivers and my team is pretty much set. Any thoughts?

I think I might have some trouble coming up with lineups and bullpen settings; I'm open to any suggestions.

i would get rid of vogelsong and get a back up CF with good defense. You have plenty of relievers
