Bored Already with 2006..................

The 2001 TSN_9257 league needs only 3 managers to draft.

Words of warning...

this is a frenzy league (there were no waiver leagues back then) and there are no inidividual player controls in 2001...only a team control manager.

I have unseated IrishII as the best player in 2001 with 18 league championships. :D :D :D

Come on suckers!!! I'll take you for a ride to the wild side if you have $24.95 burning a hole in your holy pockets!!! :P :P :P 2001 finals appearances and championships are good for 1 or 2 2006 credits!!! :D

Why would anyone want to pay $24.95 for such a primitive game as compared the the game today? A really old game like that should either be upgraded to 2006 standards or be offered at half price permanently.

Just curious....Are you bored with 2006 because you can't be as successful as you apparently are in 2001? I don't blame you if that is the case. It is more fun to win than to lose.

I can't speak for JKolak, but I suspect that people who had a lot of success in 2001 STILL have award credits floating around from that season and, if I remember correctly, TSN only transferred one credit forward to the new year.

I think I joined one of these leagues that JKolak advertised last year with my last 2001 credit, put together the core of one of my old teams that won 98 games and was soundly, and I mean SOUNDLY, trounced. At best it was an educational experience, but at least it was free!

LMBombers: I'm not doing bad with 2006. I have a winning record with 9 active teams. My first team will finish the regular season this week. Looks like I'll just miss the playoffs though.

Sure I have had more success in 2001 than any other game. That is why I still enjoy playing it.

well let's see Marcus...since I took up 2001 again, I have played in 17 leagues. Judge my results:

15 playoff appearances
perfect 10 for 10 in the finals
16 winning seasons with 11 teams winning 100+ games
only twice out of the playoffs and one of those was an "advanced" vet league

tell me...why shouldn't I like 2001...

Perhaps you only did well in 2001 because you were using "performance enhancing lineups"???
