I am playing in RFK and have Jason Bay in lf. Should I keep him or go after a lefty bat like Nick Johnson. Dunn is at 1b.

If season has started, stick with the 10M dude.

If not, then what will you do with the 4M left (Bay is 10M, Johnson is 6M)?

Welcome, uni. Can you post your roster? Here's how...

Go the the "statistics" page within your league. Then click on your team's roster. The URL you post should have a league ID number in it. Thanks!

From a quick look at the division, you'll probably finish on top.

Pitching-wise,
I like Carpenter-Peavy-Vazquez for Petco. Your strength.

I don't like Maddux---whip too high, and +9 hold are not good fit for Petco.
I don't like Cabrera as your 5th SP: there is no need for him in your division, and he's too expensive to get only one or two starts.
I don't like the 12M spent on relief. In Petco, with Carpenter and Peavy, I think it's too much.

Taking the salary of Maddux, Cabrera, and your relief staff, you get approximately 16M. I would take 4M-5M to spend on a strong #3 SP, take 0.5M to buy the obligatory 5th SP, spend about 8-9M on the relief, and take the rest and improve the offense.

Offensively,
I don't like Matheny. Useless when Carpenter is pitching (Carpenter is alreay at -4), not much of help when Peavy is pitching (Peavy's +4 is brought back to +2, which still not too good). Probably the spot I would improve with the extra money coming from the bullpen.

I like the Garabito/Renteria platoon for Petco.

AJones and Clark have lots of direct homeruns, which is good. Crawford appears to hold the #5 spot, a nice card with all his doubles/triples. Mora is a nice double/single** card vs rhp, although vs lhp, he lacks them.

Just my .02CAN$
