I think I might undertake a project to try to determine what indicators most closely tie into winning (OBP, SLG, Fielding Pct, WHIP, etc.)

Preliminary findings suggest that the strongest corollary with number of wins is winning percentage.

Or, stated another way, the higher winning percentage you have, the more wins you have. Now you know. It's all really simple.

Hmm, interesting proposition, hope the numbers show it to be true :roll:

Actually when I first started ATG II I looked at real-life MLB stats and there is an 80% correlation between winning %, WHIP and OPS. Mulitply WHIP * OPS and it tracks winning pretty close.

Never looked at it here ....
