Mike on another team I just moved out Whitey Ford and Whitaker to get Morgan and Carlson, so I guess I don't always follow my own advice...

and sschu, I think, in your examples, one factor has to be considered....LUCK!! Let's face it, you have to have some to be successful, and I think you also have to have some extraordinary performances from somewhat obscure offensive threats (the LUCK factor again, or as my friends know me to say, having the "LUCKBAG" in your posession :wink: ), as in the example you stated, to really get over the top! Seems like you see that on championship teams, someone (or 3 someones!) who have career seasons for you...

That is typical bush, reggie, and berra in fenway. If they are on a team like that, I have had a lot of success with those guys. Every time I win with them people say it is a fluke. Oh well here is some more evidence.

Shhh, I've had some good seasons from Reggie, he will way out-perform his card in a hitters park pretty consistently. These seem more typical of Bush, .290 BA, .380 OBP, on that early Fenway team he hit .330 with a .429 OBP. Berra at .300 and 35-40 HRs, that certainly is repeatable. Campy has had some monster seasons for me, but is more injury prone than Berra.
