What's the worst Banks season you've had?

I have recently been on a big Ernie Banks 1st pick strategy for obvious reasons. These are the significant numbers first 2 times I used him:

1-14/14: 22-9-58-152 .320 Shibe 29

1-11/11 30-5-26-79 .273 Wrigley 59

Now I have him a 3rd time and after 90 games he his hitting .300 with 30 something homers and 90 something ribbies in a 1-14/14. All of which is irrellevant I suppose since who can make sense of the random number generator?

But what I am curious about is seeing anyones numbers on Banks worst season, particularly from some of you power player guys who have more seasons to compare. Maybe I got his 1969 card in Wrigley?

this is the only time i have ever been able to get him, in Baker, just finishing the season, and I must admit I am quite disappointed....

hr's and rbi's are decent, but average, slugging and obp are pretty poor, especially for all the hype....

I realize anyone can have a bad season, but why do they ALWAYS have them for me!!??

On the other hand, another STELLAR season from the MICK...he never disappoints...of course, he shouldn't for almost 15 mill eh?

The two times I have gotten the Mick, he has ALWAYS underperformed. (sub .300 BA). In a current league where my team is based on him, York is hitting more HR, has a higher BA, OBP, SLG, RBI, all for ½ the money. Yet I saw in another league that I am in which started the same day, the Mick is hitting over .400 and is leading the league in HR. Go figure...

Sometimes it's hard to tell if you're getting your money's worth or not. For example, take this nearly complete season from the Mick:

Mantle, M. S CF 2(-3)e5 570 129 22 47 144 117 11 5 .367 .691 .469

The 47 homers seems kind of low (in Riverfront), but he's leading the league in runs and RBI and OBP. So I guess I can't complain but it just seems like it's been a quiet performance.

Speaking of these two, was just able to get them both (Banks & Mantle) on the same team in the 80 Mill With DH League that recently filled in here. Three of the parks in my division are Muni, Baker, and Fenway.

My 1st team ever, I grabbed Banks, he hit 60 HRs and 150 RBIs for me in Muni ... I've grabbed him in every ATG team since except one.

Stll being kinda new to Strato, I keep wanting to try out different SS's ... but it's so hard to argue with Banks production, durability, and defense at that price.

I guess there isn't much of a guarantee on any player regardless of the price. For what you pay for Mantle anything less than his real life stats is simply not worth the money. I suppose that Banks hitting .270 with 26 homers playing decent shortstop with few errors isn't so bad then?
