EGVRICH, very typical of a Cubbies fan that thinks he's a WS fan! By the way, I thought the Sox were great. They outclassed us all the way, although the games were pretty close for the most part. Both teams played with a lot of heart. My Congrats to the windy city!

It was a great series. Actually, I think I'm the rare breed of Cubs fan, who still enjoys seeing the White Sox do well. I almost switched over to the dark side (White Sox) 10 years ago, but the strike ended that ............ Still, they are more fun to watch than the Cubs.

But, I guess I'll always bleed Cubbie blue!

Clemens is better in non-HR parks. However he could have some bad starts in Fenway '67. Cicotte is probably more likely to give you steady results and a chance at the record, Clemens may give you a great season to insure or suck and take the record chance away early. Based on what you are looking to do a copying of Munich Man's team as much as possible may be a good thing to do. Add even more relief. One of your starters is likely to have a relatively bad year. A couple of strong relievers will help so you'll want Hernandez and at least another reliever. Your lineup is now logical and I would stick with it whever possible. If you can't afford another defensive gem then you'll have to split Hernandez to optimize ERA.

Thanks Charlie. If I drop Terry, I could probably afford Hernandez, but as it stands, Nelson is the best I can afford ........

Rich....from a southside Cubs fan I must say there's no such thing as a true Cub fan rooting for the Sox.. :) ..that being said and my loyalty being affirmed publicly the Sox were fun to watch and this was a great thing for the city of Chicago...especially on the south side...

At the risk of incurring Doc Holliday's wrath, I would say it's a no brainer -- Clemens.

If your goal is to set records Clemens is the man. He is more variable than Cicotte but you need considerable luck to set the record. Clemens is more likely to have a Cy Young year than Cicotte. He has won over a dozen for me so far. I use Cicotte alot but can't recall him getting any Cy Youngs.

I guess it's a case of how do you say potato, or is it potato????

If he faces more RH batters, Clemens can dominate.
