Lou Brock is an excellent canddiate for a DH, durable, speed, SBs, some power, hits RHs well. Play him everyday or get J Alou, Burns, or Clines to platoon. Brock and Clines are not a bad choice for LF platoon either.

Baines is Ok in a hitters park for just over $2M.

I don't like to spend more than 3-4 million on a DH, especially in an 80M league. I prefer to get the guys with great cards and high injury risks, like Adcock and McRae, then back them with unbalanced position subs who can fill in (i.e. Quirk/Dick Williams, M Alou/J Alou).
