Help me spend my $$$! (salary cap $$$, that is!)

Lately I've been frustrated in trying to fit all the players I want under the salary cap. Which means that a lot of my latest teams have glaring holes in them. My eyes are too big for my stomach, so to speak.

Case in point:

I'm in Candlestick, with a fair mix of extreme pitching and medium-hitter's parks throughout league. $80M, DH parameters.

What would you do with this team? Obviously, I want to hold onto Alexander, Mays, Yount, Collins, Weaver and Hershberger if at all possible. But that doesn't leave me with much cap space to get decent players to fill the remaining spots (namely 1B, DH, 3rd/4th SP, RPs).

I've also currently got Three-Finger Brown and Joe Jackson on my roster, and I'd like to keep them but they seem to be the obvious $$$-saving casualties. Three-Finger in particular seems like a luxury, but this is a DH league and I'd love to see him rack up all those complete games.

Here's what I would do.

1. Drop one of those .50 SP
2. Drop Buford
3. Pick up Judge
4. Drop Wade
5. Pick up Bob Miller
6. Possibly drop another .50 SP and pick up Russ Meyer to spot start

Use Kluz/Burns as your DH. Keep Jackson. Keep Brown.
