Inspired by some recent threads, I thought I would try a small ball team. This is the team after waivers and some maneuvering.

I had originally wanted about a 50/30 split for pitching. I did not get pete or 3finger in the draft, the top pitcher I got was Hubbell. I didn't get Schoendienst, or Dom Dimaggio and some other players and wound up with the first spot in waivers. I downgraded my pitching some, so I could afford Chance and Steinfeldt on the corners.

What do you think?

You have PLENTY of great relief pitching with Nelson, Martinez and Giusti and don't need Orosco. Use the money elsewhere.

Don't like Agee in CF, he won't hit for diddly in your park.

And the Bush/Gilliam combo in the middle of your infield is gonna lead to alot of runs. Gilliam is fine with a solid defensive SS across from him. Trammell or Chapman would be a major upgrade. Fernandez would be good too.

Flood, Wilson or DiMaggio would be great in CF.

Thx, Coach.
I dropped Orosco and changed from Bush to Chapman at ss and from Agee to Wilson in CF. I was a little nervous about having 3 players who could go down for 15 games in the infield and picked up Rolfe for St.einfeldt at 3B.
