Good as a starter in the 50 and 60 Million Leagues, Great backup for Don Money or other good injury prone first basemen. Always have him inserted for the end of games, hits well enough where he doesn't hurt you.

I like him and use him where I can.

I have taken him a lot, and he performs consistantly well, but always hedge my bets with a couple other guys that can play first anticipating injury. For example, I might take him and Lansford in a platoon, but make sure I have an outfielder that can play first, and or a back up catcher that can. Obviously he is better in a pitcher's park, but I have taken him on occasion and inserted him for games in pitcher's parks, then had someone like Belardi to play in homer parks.
