Valentine v Covington

Valentine v Covington

Postby bkeat23 » Mon Mar 20, 2006 9:10 am

In Baker....

Covington would play LF v RHP and DH v LHP.

Valentine plays OF Fulltime.

Is Covington enough of a power source both ways to make up for his D?

Thanks

It's not baker, but close! I did not platoon him, played both ways...

I love both of them. To me it all depends whether I need a RH bat or LH bat. Valentine is very consistant while Covington's numbers fluctuate a bit, but he is capable of 50 HRs in a small park. I personally feel Covinton is a slightly better value for the $$.

I agree Coach, between the two, I would take Valentine just based on his D...but i took covington the one time because there was really no other option, and he SMOKED the joint!!! :)

Could you use Valentine's OBP against lefties? Or is OBP not an issue?
