John Ward is my only backup SS
Because he can actually hit a little, I also have him as my backup DH.

So, my SS is hurt and so is my DH. What does Hal do?

DH is Ward and an outfielder plays Shortstop.

I'm sorry, but that is pure illogical and a terrible computer program.

In an ATG VI league, Mauer has a ten game injury. I use Tettleton as my first baseman, Ryan Howard as my DH, with Tettleton backing up Mauer at catcher and Howard backing up Tettleton at first with Jose Cardenal backing up Howard against lefties as DH and likewise for Butch Hobson against righties at DH. So for the last nine games Hobson has been my starting catcher while Tettleton has been at first and Howard has remained the DH! :?

I find that HAL is better at making decisions when backups are not set and just left blank.
