Lineup evaluator

Lineup evaluator

Postby motherscratcher » Mon Jul 25, 2011 7:31 pm

I remember someone posting a site where you can input your team and it will optimize your lineup. But, I'll be damned if I can remember what it was.

Anyone use anything like that who has a link?

Thanks

it's on Diamond Dope. In general, the answer to all "where can I find" questions is one of:

Dee Dope's "[b:8bae61ab77]lineups[/b:8bae61ab77]" link will tell you how your players fare in terms of BA/OBP/SLG for both left and right side, but I think this is what you were looking for.

Weaseled it from a Munich Man posting. Don't know who to give the original credit to for letting this loose on us.

Yeah, that baseball musings thing. Thanks Moose.

The DD evaluator is cool too, but it doesn't help with your batting order.

I went there and put in my roster to see how close my lineup matched up to their incarnations. One of its options it put Hornsby in the 9 spot? :?

It must have been developed by Tony larussa.

Yeah, I got some goofy lineups too. It seems to me that OBP and SLG are not enough info to really get an optimal result.
