Remarkably, in one of the recently-completed Barnstormers leagues, we had a six-way tie for the wild card, including a three-way tie for the West, at 84-78.

Not quite sure what the tiebreaking mechanism is for more than three teams. It could have been worse-- with nine games to go, we actually had a seven-way tie.
My team was in good shape to move on to the playoffs, but then got swept in the final series of the year by a team that was on a 2-14 streak, and lost on the tiebreaker.

Tiebreaker is same for more than three teams as for three teams. Guessing that the St Anslem Archangels got the wild card.
