Homerun King

Homerun King

Postby Pirhala » Mon Aug 22, 2011 5:25 pm

If all MLB players started at the same time how would the HR king pan out year to year. For Example in the 5th year of their careers the all time homerun leaders would be Kiner, Pujols, Matthews, Howard, Teixeira. I have covered the top 5 from the 1st season of their careers to the 23rd season of their careers. Some surprises. Check it out on http://homeruncompare.blogspot.com/

Ruth is completely unsurprising since:
a- he started in the DB era.
b- he was a pitcher in his early career.

If he had started as a first baseman in the mid 20s, and had his prime in the 30's, he would probably still be the all time home run king.
