My Wish List...

[quote:0de346873b="The Rabid Wolverines"]my wish list:

1 - Waivers - I would like to see the time for waivers changed at least on week-days. I don't know about you guys, but most of the time I am either busy at work at 5pm or traveling home from work during waivers. I live in NYC, but I think it must be even harder for guys living on the west coast to do a 5pm est waivers. I would like to either be able to customize the time or just push it back a couple of hours to 9 or 10pm est.

2 - Filter Upgrade - have to agree with doctorfreeze. I would like to be able to sort by runs. I would like to have the ability to customize the filters, where you can choose your own headings and filter by values. (greater than, less than, etc.) I would also like to be able to filter by AL, NL, Year.

3 - Line-ups - I would like to see default left and right line-ups for each opponents stadium. I know there has been suggestions to set line-up per pitcher, but I think that is over-kill. I think 12 sets of L/R line-ups is just right.

4- Auto-draft - change the algorythm. My biggest pet peeve since I have been playing. There needs to be a more realistic way that the system auto-drafts players to teams.

5 - Live Draft - w/salary caps

6- Auction style Drafts[/quote:0de346873b]

My thoughts:

1. Waiver times: I think that everyone has different schedules/accessibility so there probably is no ideal time. Customizing probably adds one more layer of options which will slow down the filling of leagues.

2. Filter upgrade: Good suggestions.

3. 12 lineups: Would prefer more rosters by pitcher. We can already accomplish a different lineup for each stadium by changing the lineup daily......this would be easier of course but not sure how many people change lineup based on stadiums......though guess at higher caps is probably more frequent.......not a bad thing but just not sure it is a big add.

4. Autodraft: YES. Make it better. Only reason people want it left alone is not that the current system is fairer, just that they have the advantage of experience and it benefits them.

5. Live Draft with caps: Yes!!!

6. Auction Style Drafts: Like them but suspect that it would take a lot to implement.

The ability to drop/add players in conjunction with trade offers. When I played Yahoo Fantasy Baseball a few years ago, you could offer 2 players to another manager in exchange for 3 from him, while designating one player from your roster to drop, since if the trade is accepted, you would be over the roster limit.

Why can't this be done in Strat with [b:12f7ee9c5c]SALARY[/b:12f7ee9c5c]?

I want to trade Player A, who costs 9.5m for player B, who costs 10m. This trade would put me .50 over the cap. But if the trade could [b:12f7ee9c5c]include [/b:12f7ee9c5c]DROPPING PLayer C, who costs 1m, for PLayer D, who costs .50, then the trade would work $$-wise.

[b:12f7ee9c5c]You Trade: Player A
for
Player B
and
Drop Player C for Player D[/b:12f7ee9c5c]

I think this would greatly enhance trading, though I have said it so often, I don't think it will ever happen :(

I would like an either or application for waivers for each round. Now of course if your first selection is no longer available HAL will take your second selection. Or, if they are both available you get both. But let's say you pick 10th and you have a few needs, including a need for a lefthanded 3B. Right now, you wonder if you list your first two (or three) selections as a lefty 3B, in case your first selection is gone, or do you list one, then go for other needs and cycle back again.

So eg:
Round 1: Nettles OR Baker OR Hack (you would only get one of these).

I suppose none of these could be available at pick 10, so you would say what's the benefit, you're still in the same position as before, wondering who to list in round 2 in case none of these are available. But with this at least your odds have greatly improved of getting who you want.

This would also make it less important that you are online at 5 pm.

I know people have asked for this in the Autodraft, but I'd be happy with just waivers for now. 5 pm doesn't always work.
