Upgrade Mays or Aaron?

Upgrade Mays or Aaron?

Postby jlt53 » Mon Oct 31, 2011 12:29 am

I have enough funds on a 100M Hilltop team that I could upgrade either Mays or Aaron to their most expensive cards.
Which one is the better investment, or should I be spending my money somewhere else altogether?

Of the two, I would say upgrade your Willie :D

All Aaron's cards perform offensively..........The cheaper two Mays cards dont do as well

Maybe true, but I like the high batting average (and high on base) Mays of '55. Does well.

also depends on ratio of RHP to LHP in your division and league.
The 1955 Mays card does very well against RHP, with a 17.5 HR factor including BP HRs vs RHP.
If you face predominantly RHP, I find that 55 card to be very effective.

Could never see a reason to pay an extra 2m for fewest RC/700 abs, lowest OBP and lowest win pct of the 3 cards. Can also do without all those double plays.

Thanks for the input. After going back and forth, I decided the Mays and Aaron I had were good enough and used the money elsewhere.
The nice thing about this game is that the next 162 (or 159, now) games will tell me if I was right or not.
