Jeter, Boggs & Edmonds

Jeter, Boggs & Edmonds

Postby bucktide » Wed Feb 29, 2012 12:56 am

I'm in a $100M theme league with Jeter $10.6M, Boggs $9.6M and Edmonds $9.17M available to play but I also have cheaper oprtions. I do not have experience with these cards. Are they worth the value?

I especially have options at SS: Belanger, Harrelson and Conception. Thanks for any advise on the cards.

post a link to your team and then we can better judge what changes you should make and where.

More info. I don't have a team drafted yet and have not chosen a park yet. The theme league is all players born in a month from the post WWII set so I a fixed set of players to choose from and I already know who they are. $100m/No DH. Strong in some positions SS, OF, 1B and C, not in 2B and 3B. Leaning towards this group as starters.

1B Grace/Galarraga R/L platoon (1e)
2B Cash (2e)
SS Jeter or Belanger, Conception or Harallson (1e)
3B Boggs (2e)
C Parrish/Edwards R/L platoon (1e/2e)
LF B. Williams (2e)
CF Edmonds or B. Virdon or B. Butler (all 1e)
RF D. Parker (1e)

I can't afford both Jeter and Edmonds. I am thinking about going with a pitchers park as I will have good DEF, strong starters and weak relief.

Use the cheaper boggs in a pitchers park. Basically the same card, minus the BPHR.

How's the work with Edmonds + Jeter.

Have to say, don't love the team, but that's without looking at what's available to you.

If you go with a pitcher's park, Munson might be a better platoon play than Parrish, and he would free up some cash for you. Fernandez could also work at SS for you.

Parkwise, you have more power from the left side-- may want a pitchers park that has a decent rating for lefties, like Dolphins 05, RFK, or Yankee 57/ 71

since you are so LH w/ power i would use Dunn as my home park, and definitely use the cheap boggs, with the cheap jeter (slant L) and reinvest where needed.
