Stargell is replaced by a pinch runner and Garbey is replaced by a pinch hitter.
I need a 1st baseman for bottom of 9th and none are left on the team. So Hal moves Blanchard from C to 1st base. Then for some reason puts Hal Rhyne at C. This leads to easy steal of 3rd base and lose of game. Backup C Roy Spencer sits on the bench and curses.
