Cheapshot or Assault?

This happened during a college baseball game. Cheapshot or Outright assault? It was premeditated, that's for sure...

I saw that on aol.com. It's both a VERY cheap shot and an all out assault and battery, IMO. Take that same incident, but have that guy standing on a street corner instead of 2b, and the LFer would be sitting in jail. If I was a pitcher on the team of the guy that got leveled, I would have a photo of the LFer in my locker, and he'd better come out with pads and football helmet next time I faced him. :evil:

No excuses for what the Leftfielder did, but he was probably retaliating for something the runner who'd laid down the bunt did to whomever was covering First Base. That's what distracted EVERYone on the field to the extent there was NO reaction from ANY of them to the Second Base incident.

There was a message at YouTube that the Left Fielder ... O'Such ... has been suspended from both the team and the school he attends. Just too bad the camera didn't "see" the First Base incident too.

Regrettably, he meted out the backwards kind of "justice" someone here has already recommended be done for his truly cheap shot.

Would REALLY like to know what happened at First.

Whatever the initial incident ,it is always the 2nd guy(retaliatory)!who gets caught.

The guy in LF retaliated against a guy not involved in the play, when he wasn't watching.

Don't get me wrong ,I just meant in addition to cheap and criminal,it was also really stupid!
