Stealing third

How can you get HAL to quit having guys try to steal third without completely shutting down your running game?

I have tried the 'conservative' setting, but then it seems that nobody tries to steal second. If I set to 'normal', check 'don't steal' on everybody but the burners, then it seems to work OK except that every once in a while the rabbits think they can steal third, usually at the most inopportune times.

For example:

Top of the 9th in a game we trail 1-0. Bancroft singles, gets bunted to second and we are looking good with the #3 and 4 hitters coming up.

Oh, wait. Bancroft gets thrown out trying to steal third. Who would do that?

Next two hitters get singles, but can't get home and we lose.

Arrrgh.....

Agreed. I'd like to see separate managerial settings for stealing 2nd and stealing 3rd.

Wow - I agree. That's happened to me before - probably more than once. I just one to scream out loud "AAAAIIIIIIIIEEEEEE! WTF are you doing?" But at 1 a.m. in the morning my wife would probably come in and scream the same thing to me.

But, yeah - that just drives you up the wall!!!
