Let's build a team together....

Ok, call me crazy. Go ahead. I was just thinking with all the talk about the league moving towards small ball, (yeh small ball rules! Sorry.), what kind of team could we make as a group that would be the best of both worlds. I would love to try a team that is 1/2 power and 1/2 small ball. Oh I know it's been done before but I would like some feedback. Maybe alot of people do this all the time but hey, satisfy my curiosity. I guess it would help people to know which power guys are ok to use in small parks and visa versa. Brett in Forbes? Probably not. Anyway, I do like striking up good conversations so hopefully this will be helpful to all.

A good start for best of both worlds would be Aaron , Weaver and Pesky with a Cochrane kicker . Pitching of course is easy to figure out . Pete , 3FB, Jack and Boyd or Knepper .

I guess we could make 2 teams. One in a power park and one in a small park. What do you think?

If nothing else, it will give us a good list of the most versitile, transferable, adaptable players that you can use in any park. Might be a good list to have with you when building future teams.

Alou and Money are usually 2 of my run producers for Forbes.

C: Carter (#1 choice), Schalk, Sanguillen, Dempsey, Roseboro/Lake combo. I usually save money at this position
1B: Luderus, Judge, Chance (#1 choice)
2B: Collins (#1 choice), Red, Fox, Gehringer
SS: Yount (also great run producer for Forbes), Ozzie, Wagner(my usual choice), Bush
3B: Weaver (save money, does well), Money, J Rob
OF: Dom D, Alou, Aaron, Kuyler, Cobb, Meusel, Simmons, Shoeless, and quite a few others....
P: Pete, Brown, Koufax, Cicotte, Camnitz, Clemens, Hughson, Kaat, Seaver, Oil Can, E Wilson, Knepper, Drysdale, and quite a few others...
RP: Wade, McKain, Richert, Garber, T. Martinez, Lasher (personal like here). I usually want to save money at this position.

You will notice a lot of these guys need to be listed at the top of a draft card in order to get them. Draft choice is very important, imho.
