Here are Ellis's #s with the Sey Beerians:

I was lucky with injuries with Ellis in Y56, and he helped me to my only championship. He's oddly schizoid, but his split personalities are both excellent. I batted him lead-off or second against righties -- against whom he's all about getting on base, and fifth against lefties, against whom he slams 2Bs, 3Bs and HRs.
Who knows how many HRs Y56 took away from him?

"P.Diddy" doesn't hit as well as Earl, but he's a 1(-4)e2 on defense."
Lyndon Johnson was a better value than Walter, at least in ATG II.
Sgt York was almost certainly a better value than Rudy. Lets's see him charge a German machine gun first.
I like Sam Peckinpaugh's films, so I'll give him the edge over Roger. And he can only go down for 3 games.

In Griffith Valentine's vs lefties has a slugging avg of .813 and hits 14.6% more home runs there than Aaron does. Aaron has a better OBP of .415 vs .318 for Valentine.
Versus righties in Griffith Valentine's card has a .373 BA and a .448 OBP vs .355 and .415 for AAron.
Valentine can go down for 15 games and since he would be expected to play about 85-90% of the season on average, that is made up in the arm and the fact he runs the bases like a deer, has 60% of the GBA's which helps in the #4 slot, and has a 47 point bonus on clutch with runners in scoring position vs Aaron who in that situation has a minus 28 point average deduction. My teams mostly score in the 600-650 range and Valentine is usually a 100 runs and 100 RBI man. He is a terror to the pitching staffs of Dunn teams, and has the speed, defense and OBP and defense to play on small ball teams. I have my doubts as to whether Aaron even has a better card than Valentine in Griffith but it is close. For the style of baseball it is not close. 2.4 million allows for a lot of upgrades elsewhere, good move......................

Wow, as always thanks for the feedback. I feel much better about my decision, thanks again Charlie.
Mostly I'm just glad I was able to start an entertaining thread even if it was by accident.
By the way, what is the website I refer to to see how certain players perform in certain parks?

You won't regret having Ellis. I have him on a Forbes team alongside Alou and Cleon Jones. It's way early in the season (55-60 ABs each), but Ellis is batting .549 with a .597 OBP and an .804 slugging percentage through 51 ABs. He has 8 doubles, one homer and 12 RBIs, 6 walks.
He's batting .600 against lefties, .537 against righties. Five of his six walks have come against righty pitching.
