I posted the setup for anyone who wants to crunch the numbers. Sschu? :)
Jim Rice will do very well in a hitters park, and better vs RHs. He cannot be hurt, which is nice. He is a LF/RF 3 (0) e4/CF 4 e4. Running is 1-14. Bunting/H & R is D. Stealing 4,5/12 (13-6) His card setup:

Pretty solid card. I've used his current version a few times with pretty decent success.

I've got the '78 set. Rice's card relies HEAVILY on ballpark, which you can see from the 80's link. I would not pay $9 mil for him. In fact I'd take Ennis over the '78 Rice if the price were the same.

No, not curious. It sucks. Agree that Rice is a $6 M dollar man, or less. But I guess if you're a Red Sox fan you can pay more. :)

Ballpark effects aside, Rice only has 30 points of hits and 8 of walks against righties. And he is worse against lefties.

Yeah, he's an ironman. You'll just wish he got injured (when on your team).

As I said earlier, '78 was not the best choice. Not for the Yankees either.
