I'm not guessing because I will be wrong anyways . Of the teams listed this is who I'd want to see a card from more than others .

Pirates 27 : Traynor,Harris Waner
Cubs 84 : Ryno, Eck as a starter , Sutcliffe , Smith
Twins 84: Puckett , Hrbek,Gaetti , Sweet Spring Viola
BoSox 77: Rice , Yaz, Fisk,Cambell
Twins 77: Carew, Bostock (tragic)
Sox 37 : Appling, Stratton
Tigers 61 : Cash , Cavalito , Kaline , Mossi , Bunning
NYH : Keeler, SP (all of them )
Browns 22 : Sisler, Williams , McManus , Severeid , Tobin , Jacobson

Those cards would interest me more than others on each team . That's a pretty nice team right there ! :D

Pirates, Tigers, Browns.

77 Twins?? If you want Carew, he's in Back to the 80's. There are just so many, many more deserving Twins teams.

So little redeeming value in the ChiSox team either.

Colavito has to be a -5. He had a stronger arm than Clemente, perhaps just not as accurate.

Chesbro

They would have to make a new rating for him to allow him to start on 2 days rest. He started 1/3 of his teams games that year!!!

Only GOD has a stronger arm than Clemente, but not as accurate... :P

How does Colavito play 163 games that year?

They count the all-star game..Brooks Robinson also played in 163

"After breaking in with the Indians briefly in 1955, he started 1956 in the Pacific Coast League, once showing off his throwing arm by hurling a ball over the center-field wall from home plate, with his longest mark at 436 feet." Wikipedia.

Someone else had mentioned the '77 Twins in another thread. It seems plausible. I was only throwing out teams with HOF players having decent/good years. I would have also included the '87 Twins, but you can only have 8 options for a poll.

163 games - A game ends in a tie after 5 innings, so it's an official game. The game is made up, but all the stats count from the first game.

161 games - A game ends before it becomes regulation, and it's not made up. Therefore, no stats are counted, not even the game.

This is why there are several years Cal Ripken did not lead the league in games played during his streak.
