Go to your team , then league stats page , click on your team , copy url which should have a user id # at the end of it . Come back here and paste it .
Unless you're getting clobbered, 1-8 isn't anything to sweat. It is no indication of how the team will perform. Give your team some time to play in all the parks in your division. Move your lineup around or play with the manager or player settings. Most importantly, post a link to your team so you can get maximum help.
Post your next team here BEFORE you start play & you'll get any number of suggestions. Your offense is terrible on this team, and unless you shut out the other team, you'll be hard-pressed to win.
While the FA list is fairly picked over, there are a number of inexpensive guys available that are better than what you're fielding now.
All I can say is.... when Ty Cobb and Ed Kranepool lead your team in HR's...  it's going to be a long, long, looooooong season. (in fact they are the ONLY TWO guys who have hit any HR's for you!)
I also agree with the advice to get help from the boards BEFORE you go too far with a team. I'm into just my 5th ATG-2 team... and each one has gotten better than the one before ONLY because I've learned much from everyone who's helped by posting good constructive input.
My 1st team.. no help... terrible (way <.500, 18 games out)
My latest team... with "board input"... starting 21-12, 1st place
I am not advocating by any means blowing up your team any further, but if you can't help yourself, these guys are options for you in FA:
c: Gibson
1b: McCormick, Merkle
2b: Evers
ss: Peckinpaugh (or just keep Wills)
3b: Weaver
lf: Clarke or Snodgrass
cf: Geronimo
3rd/4th SPs: Grant, Sanderson, Hunter, Loes
cheap RP: Fosnow, Lopez, Pattin
