Worst hitting ever by a regular?

Check out the link and Max Bishop's lofty .127 batting average. Of course that hasn't prevented his teammates from having the best record in the league (tied with Frank Bailey). 8)

What Hunter is doing is even weirder. Is everyone else in the league W powered?

Hunter with a 3.20 ERA in that park is remarkable.

Yeah, yeah, but his backup (Javiar) is hitting a lofty .137, so if you factor him into the equation, your secondbasemen combined are hitting ... uh, .127

I'm guessing Hunter is only pitching on the road and Speer and Cvengros are splitting duty as the 4th starter ......

Ahhhh, that could well be. The innings more or less add up.

I had a season that just ended a few weeks ago and Bishop tore it up with a .183 avg. As usual, this was offset by 123 walks. Luckily for me, Weiss hit .209 to help offset Bishop's low avg.
My team also had the best record in the league, proving that Bishop is a winner. The 300 hrs their teammates hit also helped a lot.

Ed, Just a standard Hunter season on my HR park teams; at least in terms of his usage. The results of course are as good as could be hoped for. He might pitch at home if the opponent has 7 righthanded bats. Otherwise he is just a road specialist for pitcher's parks. And because I have Speer and Cvengros, he never has to pitch in a park he doesn't like! Hunter is always a bit of a risk, but I end up with him on about 1/3 of my teams. Of course I'm not posting the teams where he gets a 6.00 era even choosing his spots to start.

Here is another Hunter team. They went up 3-1 against Nev in the finals last night. Hunter won game 4 beating Boyd 7-2. He went 17-6 during the regular season. With this team he gets rested alot on the road. Whenever I draft Hunter I draft 2 other pitchers to rotate with him so he doesn't get bad matchups.

Max batted .177 for me in Forbes '09. The whole team stunk it up except for Koufax and Mantle.

I've never seen Bishop come close to his 40% OPB that he should have with all those walks.

Incidently, had Hunter on that same team for a bit. He gave up 12 dingers in 20 innings. He did just as bad in Forbes as in any hitters park (4 starts in Forbes). I may try him again as I don't think that is a typical result for him. He seems like a decent bargain if you've got more pitcher friendly parks in your league. May pick him up as a situational pitcher as you guys have suggested.

Given the quality of pitching and defense in ATG II I would think .370 would be all Bishop could expect for OBP. I usually only use him on bomber teams where I have guys 2-6 with walks and 8 #.
