Bernie: Arky Vaughan, 1935 -- special request for next batch

Bernie, would there any chance to include Arky Vaughan's card from 1935? Arguably among the best ever seasons by a shortstop.

Most amazing stat: 18 strikeouts, 19 home runs. That's DiMaggio country.

New cards should add value to where little or none exists already.

For example, the list of left-handed shortstops rated 1 or 2 on defense is very, very short.

Lloyd, Pesky, Tavener and Guillen.

Arky's OPS that year (1.098) is better than any other full-time shortstops in the ATG set. That includes A-Rod (1.031) and Willie Wells (1.052).

Arky is likely to be a 3 at SS. Even so, he would be priced somewhere around Wells. As a two, he would probably be the priciest SS in the card set.

He had decent range, but seemed to muff the grounders. A strong arm. I would hope a "2," but could be wrong. As we know, sometimes the range rating (Derek Jeter!) is based on reputation for that year in STRAT. Perhaps in Arky's grandest year he'd get a 2 range.

He had a league fielding range per game of 4.90 with a league average of 5.27. The bad news, 35 errors in 137 games.

I have the 1935 Season rosters. Arky is listed at 2e38, which would likely be adjusted to 2e30.
