the steroid era is really going to hurt these guys. sad to see bagwell didn't get more votes this year, he is gonna be filed under the guilty until proven innocent career stats.

I am pleased to see Barry Larkin get in, but why can't Alan Trammell get some love?

Totally stoked to see Larkin in, he's well-deserving. I'm a bit surprised he was the only one, we'll see what the next few years will do for guys that still haven't made it in; whether the 'roids guys, and guys like Maddux and Glavine, have a positive or negative effect on the guys who have been on the ballot a while.

Eric Young is a Hall of Famer in somebody who [b:81b65ed123]VOTES FOR THE HOF's MIND[/b:81b65ed123]

I think that says all I need to know about the Hall of Fame process.

Congratulation to Larkin for the well deserved honor.

I am still disappointed to see that, despite the similarities of the career stats of Larkin and Trammell, in the minds of most of the voters there is a distinguishable point that defines one as hall worthy and the other not.

I agree Trammel deserves more consideration. But he was not as good as Larkin. Larkin had higher BA, OBP, SLG, SB.

Larkin won an MVP in 95, Allstar games 13 to 5.

I would have no trouble with anyone who put Trammel on their ballot but to do so on basis he was as good as Larkin would not be supportable.

yeah, but Trammel played in a differnt time and was clearly the best middle infielder in the 80's. I think he deserves a Lot more love. I dont think Larkin was much( if at all) better than Trammell

Larkin deserves, Trammel probably as well..Bagwell belongs in HOF, crazy logic that keeps him out is same logic that votes for Vinny Castilla 6 (1.0%), Tim Salmon 5 (0.9%), Bill Mueller 4 (0.7%), Brad Radke 2 (0.3%), Javy Lopez 1 (0.2%), Eric Young 1 (0.2%), ? the voting process for HOF is a joke.
