as one of our best and most beloved commrades takes a hiatus and we pray for a positive resolution...you can pay tribute to him by helping fill his unfillable void in our 12-season dream league. it's 100-million, DH, drafted on diamond dope with whatever the latest set of ATG cards are at the time. Steve's team is currently set to draft 9th in our 8th season. in the remaining seasons he's slated 3rd, 10th, 4th and 11th.
the dream league is we each draft our entire team in order...the team that draft's first rarely if ever wins, and often doesn't make the playoffs. goreds has had a 12th drafted team win it all. it's a league of vets and familiar names, and the concept is to get almost everyone you want and not get screwed by the autodraft or any HAL mysteries. a chance to team maddux, alexander and pedro together, or bonds, ruth, and kiner and everything inbetween.

sign up here, we'll give you steve's password on diamond dope, and it's about your turn. please be able to commit to the remaining to this 9th drafting team, and the 3rd, 10th, 4th and 11th picking teams after. we usually start drafting right after the transaction deadline of the current league so there's little if any lag time between leagues.

BD, welcome, and yes, tough shoes, but Im sure Steve appreciates it, and i know we do. I'll send you the diamond dope password by pm.
you only have to have a 23-man roster, so map out your "ideal" team based on what's left undrafted and the park you want to play them in, again amongst all but the 8 already claimed. if your roster is less than 25, just hit skip pick to get to the 10th team that picks behind you. you may need to draft a cheaper version of one of your better players in order to trick the diamond dope engine into believing you have 500k left for each of the 1 or 2 roster spots you leave open. buy a team and draft it on the ATG Sight first so you know it fits. it's hard to make changes on diamond dope.

P.S.: 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11? This should be a challenge. I've always said that for most $100 mil leagues there is enough talent left over for a good manager to make a playoff worthy team, so this will put that theory to the test.

Hey BD, I just need someone to approve an Ott-drop for me and then I'm finished and you will be up. I forgot to draft the cheaper Ott and now Diamond Dope won't let me draft my final player (Orsatti) as it thinks I don't have enough money...

munich should be fixing shortly, but keep that in mind...draft a cheaper version of one of your premium players so the sight doesn't block you as it calculates for a 25-man roster and 100m cap. the best way is to buy a team, build it on tsn/som then draft them on diamond dope.
remember, you only have to have at least 23 players, but as many as 27. if you draft under 25, just hit the skip pick when you get to the end. diamond dope allows for 25 players and a stadium before it moves on to the next team.
also, remember you have the advantage of seeing what the #3 and #6 teams have in store for you and build matchups or counter strategies accordingly. we often end up with a division with a homer park, a pitchers park, a righ leaning and a left leaning all lumped together.

Thanks for the tips. I was able to sign in to the draft last night, but it wasn't my turn to draft until this morning. I'm off to work and will not have internet access during the day. I should be able to get my team entered late tonight.
There's a lot of talent left. So do I take Dimaggio, Mantle or Charleston for CF? It sure is a nice choice to have!
