No Way This Would Ever Happen

Seriously, This impossible stuff only happens to me. I always get the short straw on crap like this.
There is no way that Joe Mauer could [b:7a311ca23d]EVER[/b:7a311ca23d] score from 2nd base on a flyball to Rickey Henderson. But for whatever reason, some dope has to create a tiny computer chance to screw me over.
And yes, this was a 1 run loss.

I've been on both sides of that in softball, but it's more likely there, if there's no fences.

I think the ball bouncing off an OF'ers head has happened to my teams quite often in SOM.

If you mean Joe Mauer would simply tag up and score on a routine, albeit really deep flyball, then of course you a right. But according to the rare play result you got, that isn't what happened.

It says the outfielder races back, makes a diving catch, collides with the wall and is dazed allowing all runners to advance two bases. That doesn't seem too far fetched.

The way that page is folded..."outfielder is dazed" could be read as "outfielder is dead"

It also happened in the 1982 World Series-- two runners scored on a sacrifice fly when Gorman Thomas slipped on the warning track. Granted, Ozzie Smith was faster than Mauer, but this type of play has happened occasionally- and on baseball's biggest stage, no less.

Smith was faster than Mauer, but Thomas had a much better arm than Henderson.
