Just curious . . . who have you used the most???

It's interesting how much things have changed ... I betcha Pesky and Ripper were used in 99.9% of ATG 1 leagues. I remember seeing Avila and Walling used pretty frequently but now they've fallen off the map.

I hope ATG III doesn't just keep expanding the talent pool, because it does get a little ridiculous.

Sheesh Nev, you need to expand your horizons ... I'm only around 100 teams and from your list and [b:33813c5aa3]I use the following guys on a regular basis[/b:33813c5aa3]:

[b:33813c5aa3]Doby[/b:33813c5aa3]

Hmmmm, I see your point!

In fairness, I too have used the following guys once in a while (though probably less than 3 times each):

Selkirk, Avila, Money, O'Neill, Oglivie, Bush, Collins, Boyer, Gordon

Exactly right Coach!

Almost 50,000 abs for F. Alou. :D

Although my spreadsheet hasn't been updated to include about 25 completed seasons yet, and my 40 active teams so....in about 200 completed, updated seasons, I've used F. Alou 81 times.

I think you are missing something on O'Neill. I use him often on small ball teams. Yeah, his glacial speed is a drag. But his defense and arm is good, he gives me lots of doubles, often hits .285 +, OBP usually .380+, and his injury is on the 1.

As for Sam Crawford, I use him at 1B on small ball teams when I can't get who I want at there (Chance, Judge, etc.). I set him for a def replacement in late innings.

Here's a championship Forbes team that had O'Neill at C and Crawford at 1B:

[quote:bf17d4a9ac]WOW! Congrats to the Ewe Twos. I've started 0-6 vs them and after 200+
teams I wouldn't draft half those guys. It just goes to show how many
different ways there are to win.......AND how little I know (lol)

Now I understand what you meant.

I had to go back and look - Boyer, O'Neill, and Furillo have each played for me on more than 20 teams - 13 times all three were on the same team!

Thanks for leaving them for me.

Nev, you gotta find a way to use Selkirk once. :)

The huge talent pool is offset when you go with a smaller cap league. In my opinion, a 70m cap would have been perfect with the current pricing. That would allow just the right mix of stars and normal players.
