Looks like a contender. I'd lose Caldwell.

Henry-Lown should be all the relievers over $1 you need. Better to have another starter in the $4.50-$5.50 range.

I agree with Frank. In Forbes, an 11 million pen is overkill. Take 6 million of that and add a starter. If u can find any pure starters under .60, you should add one in place of Knowles. You usually don't want a s/r pitcher under a million getting into very many games. (That is not to say that some of them aren't valuable in the proper situation: ballparks and machups play into it.)

Carter isn't really a good fit for Forbes either. What are your opponent's stadiums?

Don't even tell me you dumped Gary Carter. Pick him back up immediately if it's not too late.

His defense, speed, low injuries and power are all awesome in ANY PARK.

Even in Forbes, it's nice to have one big LH bat and one big RH bat.

I'd keep Richert and one other solid RH RHP such as Giusti, Garber, Tincup, Nelson, Miller and then a couple of cheaper value relievers (Garman, Worrell, Dreiswerd, Bahnsen types).

Other than that it's a solid smallball team.

Adios Senor Carter

...hello Ray Schalk and Whitey Ford; thats what I get for not waiting. Not only that, it caused a huge chain reaction and now I have to face Honus Wagner as well.

FWIW, I prefer Gibson over Schalk. Positive clutch (albeit small) and "N" rated power both ways.

Wow...you will miss Carter. He is my #1 choice in Forbes to catch.

Isn't this the same team where you started a thread asking who you should take with your waiver claim and I told you Forbes?
