addendum to Rob55's response... keep your eye on the cheapies. Make sure that if they are sucking up a majority of innings that they are either quality outings or that the many bad outings are mop-up appearances. I have had guys finish with ERAs around 6.00, yet I was happy with them because they did their job (LH or RH specialist in a close game, setup role) and would get rocked when pitching extended outings....
And it often takes a few teams before you get a sense of what settings work and which ones don't. It seems to me that some override others on a single player's card, so while many options are good for HAL - too many only confuses HAL....
By the way, HAL is a reference to the evil computer in the book/movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" - and supposedly a subtle reference by Clarke (author) to IBM (which are the next letters in the alphabet from HAL).
