New Yankee '56 team for Rookie

Unbalanced LH hitters are OK in Y56. ultimately, at home, they will kill no matter who they face.
That being said, the best overall are Snider, Reggie Jackson, Mathews.
I love Mincher, I have platooned him with Merkle to give me a good RH obp batting second in the order.
Roenicke is best used as a platoon-mate with Oglivie in LF, IMO.
As good as Yount is, you may want Mincher ahead of him at home, particularly.

Yount won't miss any games, so Templeton is a waste of $$.
I am not a Doran fan.
Definitely dump Rice for Oglivie/Roenicke platoon.

I would be worried about Petry, but I am not sure a solution.
Clancy is a waste of $$. (too much like Petry)

Here's a Yankee '56 team that I've got going that is doing very well. It might give you additional food for thought ..........

It has many of the concepts mentioned above by MtheB and Palanion.

Thanks for the input. I tried to get Ogilvie for Rice but the FA period passed and I don't want to take the 20% hit just yet. I know I'm short one LH power bat but Ruth & Snider should put up the usual awesome numbers to help offset that a bit. I took Rice becuase when I saw what he did in Yankee 56 based on DiamondDope, I had to have the avg & OBP. I'll see how it plays out.
