My triples team.

Triples King Joe Evans is one of those anomaly cards. He only played 56 games in 1920 -- his strat card -- and hit 9 triples in 172 AB even though he is a 1-14 runner.

In real life he was something of a power hitter in the wrong park -- The dimensions in Dunn Field in 1920:

Dunn Field

1920 Distances: Left field: 376 left-center: 415 just left of center field: 450, center field: 420 right field: 290 (45 foot fence)
1920 Fences: Left field: 5 (concrete); left-center: 10 (7 screen above 3 concrete); center field scoreboard: 35; right-center clock: 20 (left and right sides), 22 (center of clock); right-center field: parts not covered by chicken wire screen, 45 (20 concrete topped by 25 steel chicken wire screen supports, right field: parts covered by chicken wire screen, 45 (20 concrete topped by 25 chicken wire screen)

Interesting choices on your team. I don't know if I'll catch you, but I'll sure give you a run for your money! :D

Just curious who you would consider interesting choices, MM....

went with a lot of platoons...though it's funny, hitters like Evans and Deion have more triples on their weak hitting side, making for platoons that may give a lot of triples but dont do much for winning. :D

My team went south pretty quick, so I made a few changes midseason or so, deciding to just go for the record, which was like 180 something at the time it think

Street instead of Stahl (who has one of the best triples cards), the Monroe/Leach platoon...

Who were you platooning Kreevich with?

i like the team I put together. I like their record so far too.

It looks like any of the Fenways are the best doubles park with 116 ratings.

Getting frustrated with this team, as I usually do. Pythagorean record is 6 games better than actual record. This is the case with many of my teams. I [i:5fd8ea540d]should [/i:5fd8ea540d]have the 2nd best record in the league, and yet I'm 4 games out of the WC race.

Still, I'm on pace for the triples record, but I certainly like to make the playoffs with my record-seeking teams. I don't like setting records for the sake of setting records, though it is nice to achieve a goal.
