My turn (again)

Gehrig and Ruth in Griffith don't make much sense...a lot of their HR become 2b because of the park, hence they'll underperform vs. thier price. I'd suggest Musial if he's availible...50 2b and 20 3b are HUGE in this park. Joe Jackson, Speaker, Cuyler are guys who fit this ballpark well...high slugging, but low HR. In any case upgrade the pitching to have 1 10 mil+ starter. The ballpark effects can help you a lot if you either 1) Use the effect to accentuate the players strengths (ruth in HR hitters park, pete alexander in Griffith) or 2) Hide your players weaknesses (Drysdale's high ERA, relative to WHIP, is caused by lot of HR. In a pitchers' park those HR go away). It took me an atrocious season to realize that the team should be built around the ballpark.

Keep 'em coming; be as harsh and as specific as you want.
I like Griffith, so I imagine I'll be playing lots of games there in the future.
Right now I'm getting name guys(obviously) 'cause I have no idea what I'm doing and it's fun. I'll probably never have Ruth and Gehrig in any of my teams again, so here is my cahnce to have the dreaded duo and learn about Griffith. In other words- I'm willing to eat it this season to see what happens

Winnning is alot more fun though, so please let me know hat players you think are good in Griffith. I'll sure use that advice in the future

Gehrig and Ruth are great, but they are gonna kill your team. You are spending about 3/8 of your entire payroll on guys who are hurt by your home ballpark where you will play 1/2 your games.

I'd suggest finding higher OBP guys with less Ballpark HR's on their cards if you wanna succeed in Griffith ....
